Learners Graduate

The members of this years first learn to fence course graduated last night. The course concluded with a hectic electric competition. I think fun was had by all, and it looks like they learnt a lot over the five weeks. We hope to see them back and fencing as part of the club in two weeks time!

The next course is ready to kick off on 13 April. Bookings are open for the May course as well.

Here are some pics from the comp.

Last week for learners

Tonight is the last night for the first learn to fence course of the year! We hope they have learnt plenty. Their skills are going to be put to the test tonight with an electric competition.

I Look forward to seeing the results.

The next learn to fence course is booked and ready to kick off in April. We are taking expressions of interest for the next course to be run in mid May. For those interested contact club president.

Quiet Night

Most of the NSW fencers were heading off to Canberra for the annual comp yesterday. As a result last night at fencing was quiet.

The learn to fence course had its second night and the progress is encouraging. Here are some pics of the course so far.

New learners

Fencing@MQ officially welcomed another group of learners to the club last Friday night, with the first learn to fence course of the year. The group has taken their first steps to becoming fencers and the club wishes them all the best.

In an effort to help promote the club and expand its member group we intend to conduct a lot more classes this year.

For those who haven’t fenced before but have always wanted to learn, nows the chance to get involved. Simply register your expression of interest.
